I am starting a vending machine business. If I apply for an NJ business licence, but eventually want to move in PA and operate there, will my licence cover this? Or will I have to then apply for a PA business licence as well? Also, would a small vending machine business be considered an LLC?

Your NJ license allows you to conduct business in NJ. It does not allow you to conduct business in other states. You will need to get a license in whatever other states you want to conduct business.

LLC is a business structrure. You can run any type of business you want out of an LLC, but you will need to CREATE that LLC. It's a legal issue.

Ok that makes more sense, thanks. And is there anything more to "creating" the LLC than simply signing up and paying the $125 fee?

If you are asking these very basic questions , i would be concerned with your knowledge of a business.
