I kind of remember (from 10+ years ago) that a friend was having problems converting from an underground oil tank to gas. He had to do it in a 2 step process because of some kind of insurance he had will his oil company. They required that he converted to an above ground oik tank for at least a year. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

thanks

If you want to remove an underground oil tank and you want to get tank insurance in case their is leakage found, you have to have an above ground tank installed and keep it for at least a year. The insurance won't cover you if you just want to remove the tank and convert to gas right away.
