Hi all, I am looking for suggestions on areas in North Jersey to move to.
- 2 bedroom or large 1-bedroom with a bonus room (office, nursery, etc.)
- no more than 30-minute commute (by car) to Jersey City
- school district not important
- parking for 1 car + would like an area where parking is not so tight because I see clients in my home
- prefer private house with separate entrance or garden apartment/townhome style but will consider a building with a doorman
- doesn't need to be fancy but a clean, safe environment where I can see clients from time to time
- accessibility to NYC transportation
- access to shopping, entertainment, etc. but not very urban (if that makes sense)
- washer/dryer in unit or laundry hookups
- diversity in terms of culture, age, lifestyle
- no more than $1600 a month
I have looked at Kearny, Jersey City, and Montclair. I like Kearny because it is affordable and has a nice community feel, and is a short drive from Jersey City. Jersey City Heights is more urban than what we would like. I like Montclair also because of the nice suburban/city feel. I would love some ideas about specific communities in North Jersey, including Montclair and Kearny. Any and all info from residents & realtors is welcome...thank you!
