hello, i have to relocate for career purposes in NJ and was curious about the maplewood area as it would be close to my new job

any info on it?

good or bad?

I know you posted this question last month but I just saw it.

An article in New York Magazine found Maplewood to be among the more affordable NYC suburbs with a good quality of life and decent schools. There are some areas (as is the case with most towns) that i suggest you stay away from (ie. bordering Irvington) but overall is a gorgeous quaint town with a train station where I believe the express train takes about 30 minutes to Manhattan.

Maplewood committee on race relations gives a free tour of the two towns and it is very imformative. I would go to Maplewood Online.com and check them out.
