What would you like them to do? They took care of immediate needs, paid out flood insurance to people who had it, and have pledged funds for various public works projects that took on damage.

I'm not sure what else the government (ie taxpayers) should be responsible for. If my house blew away in a hurricane I wouldn't expect anything from the government. I'd call my insurance carrier and either get a hotel room or buy a cheap travel trailer and park it in my driveway until my house could be rebuilt.

Flood insurance only covers temporary housing for a limited amount of time (30 days I believe). This is plenty of time to fix flood damage to homes. But it's not enough time to fix entire towns to let people back in so they can get on to repairing.

It's in the country's best interest to get the infrastructure restored ASAP. Given that it's important states with extremely high GDP and positive federal tax revenue, it only brings more urgency to the matter.

That being said, the rebuilding of homes and restoring of personal items should not be funded by the government.

As I said above, they have pledged money towards the restoration of public works. They are not responsible for personal or business restoration costs. Businesses should carry business interruption insurance--which would even pay their employees salaries. If they didn't--you can't fix stupid.

Yes i am referring to infrastructure. These farmers think you all are a bunch of mooches and i wanted to show them the difference.

I agree:

Right, because farmers never get any government subsidies!

I bet most of those farmers are in the mooching states: Federal Taxes paid/received for each State — Visualizing Economics

that concept is really not totally fair and i dont think it should be used unless its appropriately adjusted. it counts things like social security and medicare payments as well as the costs of military bases and other federal installments of that nature.

look at how high dc is.

...Handle money disbursements in a timely manner. I know people that do have flood insurance and are just getting their money after waiting for three months. On the other hand, I'm still waiting. All I get are excuses. I was able to make most of my repairs, because my damage was minimal compared to others. But, not everyone can financially handle rebuilding without insurance money or buy a cheap travel trailer.
