Hello people

Have been living(renting) in NJ for the last 5 years around the Princeton area.

Wife and I decided its time now to buy our first house. A few properties in Windsor meadows seems to fit our bill.

Can you comment on the general quality of the houses and the neighborhood in this community? I see some houses are listed for a really really long time.

Also, are there any parks, small lakes nearby?

Thanks

.

Windsor Meadows is next door to two apartment complexes (Windsor Regency may have been converted into condos.)

Not far from there is the small walkable town of Cranbury. It has a lake surrounded by a park.
In the opposite direction is another small walkable town of Hightstown. It also has a lake, but no surrounding park. The lake is stocked with large mouth Bass and you can use non-gas powered boats in the lake. There is a restaurant next to the lake, too; "Tavern on the Lake."

I don't know anything about Windsor Meadows as far as the quality or the community.

windsor meadows is in the campus shared by adult community. Next door is apartment complex which I would not like to have next to a house but for townhouse may be okay. There is also low-income housing (few of them) in other corner of the community.
E Windsor in general has higher property tax and average school, like other avg school districts, its high school is plagued by small section of the town, elementary is generally considered very good.
Best value in the area convenient to everything.

Buy a townhome in that community with a basement otherwise your furnace is in your attic!

Since hot air rises, putting the furnace in the attic is highly inefficient.
