lol, yeah 1996 I believe was the single largest snowfall in modern history in the area. Most places got 30+ inches in one shot. We also got pounded in 2010, but that was like one storm after the other, not all at once, even though the totals were very high. The absolute worst this storm could do is 1996-esque and back then, most people were dug out and life getting back to normal within three days and it was only really the immediate day after that you couldn't get out. Today, with the way they pre-treat the roads and everything, it won't be nearly that long before things are back to normal.
I have 3 pounds of pipe tobacco, 5 cases of yoohoo, caprisun, and applejuice juice boxes, 24 boxes of mac-n-cheese. The kids will be fine, I can melt snow for water. We'll be good.
I have no recollection of snow in 2010. That's worrisome to me, LOL. I remember 78 (vaguely),83, 93, 96, and 00. Nothing huge stands out after that (yes, the Halloween storms but those weren't that bad other than the fact they were in October).

Better check that memory issue. Sandy makes everything pale in comparison, but that Halloween storm knocked down a ton of trees and power lines that destroyed many houses and left lots of people without power for days.
