I live in California with a New Jersey drivers license and got a speeding ticket in Dec 2011 in Ohio, and then a ticket in Spring 2013 and went to traffic school. I got a speeding ticket last night. What's the probability of getting my license suspended?

Ohio - 15-20 over Dec. 2011
California - 15 over, but went to traffic school
California 20 over February 2013

Does this seem like grounds fro suspension?

Why do you have a NJ licence? How long have you lived in CA?

3 years but my primary residence is Jersey. I travel back and forth between the two.

I spoke to a CA cop this morning detailing the following:

3 years living in CA with a Jersey drivers license. I got a ticket in Dec 2011 in Ohio and received points. Spring 2012 got a ticket, but went to court and the points were dismissed. Last night got a speeding ticket for doing 15 over. '

From what I read online, if you can go one year without any infraction, 3 points will be deducted from your license. As well, from what I understand having a Jersey license, points out of state count as 2. To play it safe, I'm going to assume 4. I went one year (from what I can understand with my second ticket (Spring 2012) being dismissed) that I only have 1 point thus far, however it could not be the case.

In order to get suspended, I need a total of 12 points. I'm assuming with the first ticket, I'll have 4 points and then this one will put me at 8. One more ticket and I could be suspended.

Does this sound plausible?

AFAIK all out of state tickets into NJ are 2 points and 2 points are taken off each 12 months you go without any violations. Suspensions are given if you accumulate 12 points, but if you get 6 points within 3 years you get a surcharge bill from NJ charging you I think $50 for each point each year until you get below 6 points. That is separate from any insurance increases, its a bill you get in the mail from the state and you you ignore that they will grab your driving privilege and also charge you an extra $100 to restore it, etc.
NJ used to allow you to request an informal hearing at a licensing center if you accumulate 12 points where they could consider not taking the license and they used to let you attend a state run Driver Improvement class whci would knock another 2 points off and let you keep your license. I say "used to" because I'm going back decades. they probably do similar these days. Important to keep an eye on your NJ mail anyway.
