Hi All,

I am relocating to Bayonne and need help with understanding the public transport options. My office, in River Street Hoboken doesn't have enough parking space and hence commuting by car is ruled out.

I am planning to choose a apartment in Pamrapo Court, Bayonne. Does anyone know the public transport options from this place to River Street, Hoboken. If I am to use the HBLR, are parking spaces available at the HBLR stations ? How to obtain parking pass and how much they cost ?

Also the Bayonne school district doesn't seem to provide school bus!

Thanks

HBLR is your best option. I'm not sure how much parking costs at the HBLR stations, but you can find out at njtransit.com. The closest HBLR station to your desired apartment is the 45th Street station, but there's no parking lot there. You're probably better off driving to the Liberty State Park station Park and Ride lot or down to the 34th Street Station, which also has commuter parking.

The nearest elementary school is less than 2 blocks away (Washington School on 47th St). Do you really need a bus?

There is a parking lot at the 34th St HBLR station, which is closer than the Liberty State Park HBLR station, albeit in the wrong direction. Might be easier. You could also walk to the 45th St HBLR station. It's a fairly short (~10 min) walk in a safe area and will save you a ridiculous amount of money.
