Hello! I was wondering how much you would pay a mommy's helper. I work at home and have a 4 month old and would need someone to just watch her and play with her for a few hours. I would be doing the feeding and diaper changes, and I wouldn't be asking the person to clean, do laundry, or any other household chores. I would pay a babysitter (if I were out of the house) $15 an hour but not sure how much would be appropriate for a mommy's helper (specific to my situation) since the responsibilities are not the same. Thank you in advance for your responses!

I wouldn't go less than $10 an hour. Anything less than that would probably not be worth an individual's time, unles perhaps they were a teenager...? Not sure what type of person you had in mind.

I think if you had a teenager younger than say 16 you could go less than $10 but they are in school during normal working hours so that is the problem.

For a stranger, I wouldn't go less than $10. What about part time daycare? It usually averages out to less than $10 an hour. Maybe a local one?
