Its probably way to late. I have been here since Sept 2007. It is not a nice place to live. They people in the leasing office told me that I would have an upgraded apartment turns out they didn't put me in an upgrade. I walked into this apartment and it was filthy. The maintence manager had to come and boy had a big attitude. She try to justify everything. She was really not a nice person. After living here for two days I found out the the walls here are paper thin. You have no privacy and can here everything going on in the building. They mine as well knock down all the walls and everyone live together. The apartment is drafty and cold during the winter. I have to have my heat on 80 and it still feels like it is 60 you wind up with big heating bills. The management here is nothing but rude!!! I paid my rent on time and they claimed that I didnt. Instead of trying to find out what had happened or could have happened they just shook there heads and said sorry you were late. They have control over your money so watch out!!!!

Default Not all apartments in Oakwood Village are the same

You probably got an apartment in one of the oldest buildings - they have older and newer developments there. The whole complex is quite large - more than 100 buildings. I know a few families that have been living there for many years and don't want to move.

Default It's a very good value for the money

The newer apartments are nice. If you come to the leasing office, ask them for the list of available apts; then go to every building that's on the list and preview the location. Also, remove from the list the apts. with electric heat and carpeted floors. Most likely, you'll be able to narrow down your search to one or two nice apts.

The location is great - the Lowes shopping plaza is just around the corner, and you have easy access to Rt. 206, 10, 80, and 46. The commute to Parsippany will take you around half hour, depending on the traffic and your office's location. There are many corporate transferees that live there while their company is paying the rent. I always recommend this complex to my relocation clients - it's a good place to settle down temporarily while looking for a house to buy. I live and work in Chester - the town nearby, so I know the area very well. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
