I need to be at a place that's on the upper west side on Manhattan at 8:30 am next Tuesday and was wondering how bad rush hour traffic is taking the GSP - NJTPKE - rte 46 (I know the back roads well so I can get off if there's bridge traffic and get around it if I need to) - GWB - Henry Hudson pkwy - 96th street exit and a few blocks down. It took me about 1 hr 25 min with no traffic. I'd be getting on exit 89 on the GSP. Trying to figure out what time I'd need to leave with traffic.

Thanks!

Just mentioning, often when there's a backup to the GWB the Fort Lee cops guard the exits off US46 in Fort Lee and don't let anybody through in order to bypass the bridge traffic.

I lived in Ridgefield practically my entire life and used to commute to Somers NY until I moved up there so I would get off the Broad Ave Ridgefield or Palisades Park exits and I know how to navigate the back streets to get on right by the lower level toll. I'm quite aware of the exits/restrictions by the cops at rush hour in that area so that's not a problem.

Can anyone give me a "guess-itmate"? I have no idea how the Parkway and Turnpike north are during rush hour. Does anyone think it will take longer than 2 hours? I need to know ASAP in case it's a ridiculous amount of time and I need to try and reschedule.

Thanks!
