Hello All,

What are the best options to commute from these towns in Bergen county to New York City.
My office is in midtown Manhattan and I am looking to purchase a home in one of these towns.

1) Closter
2) Harrington Park
3) Norwood
4) Old Tappan
5) River Value

I am open to both train and bus options, though I have looked that there is no railroad in these towns but I have a car and would be willing to drive to a station or park and ride centers.

Thank you.

Easy pick NJT 167 is your best option no rail options there.

From all those towns, you need to drive to either a train or a bus station, although commuter lots are small, and in some cases reserved for town residents. You can take a train from Westwood, or you can get an express bus from Montvale to Port Authority.

There are several bus stops in Norwood/Closter/Old Tappan/Harrington Park that take you directly to Port Authority.

Check that website for the schedules
