It's been a couple of days, since I informed him of the problems in a written form, and there is a few, but two of them are kinda urgent, since they are interfering with my daily life. I called the office too, twice now, but nothing is getting done. What's my next course of action? It hasn't been that long, but I feel like I am paying rent for every day so shouldn't wait for days for repairs.

If the problems are creating a situation which makes your apt/home unlivable then I would think you would be able to hire someone to fix the problem and take it out of the next rent payment. However I'm unclear regarding the law as far as how long you must give the landlord to fix the problem. Try doing a little research on the web.

Did you send the letter so it had to be signed for? If not write another letter, attach a copy of the first letter then mail it again and make sure they have to sign for the letter.

What exactly are the issues you are having? Are they aware its an urgent issue (if its not obvious by the nature of the problem)?

If you are submitting a list of 4+ items that need fixing and its not obviously urgent, you wont be at the top of the to do list.
