Well considering it's been promised since about 1492 when Columbus sailed down Route 22, it seems like the I-95 project to connect the Northern half of I-95 from Maine to New Jersey to the Southern part of I-95 from PA to Miami Florida is finally coming along. At least more than it has for the past 20 or 30 years.
Looks like the missing ramps will be "promised" by 2018:
And I don't have anything against PA for taking it's time since NJ originally dropped the ball by not building the whole missing link in NJ, the infamous Somerset Expressway portion, which of course would have provided a direct interstate through the middle of NJ and saved a lot of people from crashing to death on back roads,,,oh well.

I heard that the I 95 designation will be retained till exit 6 on the Turnpike. It will branch off as an NJ turnpike extension from exit 6 onwards, and join I 95 in PA.
I 95 designation from this point till route 1 in NJ will most likely be renamed as a spur route (I 695 Perhaps), and will connect with I 295 near Lawrenceville, NJ.
NJ Turnpike from Exit 6 to Exit 1 will be renamed as another spur route (Possibly I 795).
No new roads will be built. Existing roads will be renamed, and old GPS's will make drivers crazy .
Yes I think the Turnpike below exit 6 will probably just stay named as it is, which on the books is NJ 700 I think. Kind of like the Garden State parkway is actually NJ 444 the whole length of it.
Construction on this project began in 2010, it is expected to finish by 2018. I took about the same time from JFK speech in 1961 about sending a man to moon to Neil Armstrong's actual landing in 1969. I am guessing less money too. These are some real fancy entry/exit ramps.
I know, that's just Phase 1 of the project, but at least it does include the actual ramps to connect 2 superhighways together that have never been connected before.
Construction of later stages is not yet scheduled.
But even still it's way more than NJ has ever done to put I-95 together.
Just noticed several things:
If you expand on the EeEeeevil Racist censor Google Map at the points where the ramps will be, there are I-95 designations posted along the curve
Modified DRB toll plaza, all electronic tolling, meaning you will need an EZ Pass transponder or else they will probably send you a bill in the mail and charge you something for that like that new road in VA or MD does.
I hope there's not going to be a lot of eminent domain that will happen now
It's just for some ramps which have already been studied and designed and discussed with the local community for a long time. No big real estate grabs or surprises involved. Looks like mostly a commercial area or behind a strip mall.
When they built that big new interchange for PA 413 a few years ago that looked like it could've been for this and if you just extended those ramps about a half mile it could have connected but this is the deal.
