Who really wanted to eat out so she could enjoy the company, and not spend my time cooking....sigh
It's not fancy, more of a pub-type place, and I looked on their website and it says the prime rib is Wednesday and Sunday. Probably be a good idea to call and check.

However, the menu doesn't have much in the way of vegetarian selections, as I'd thought. They do have a vegetarian burger, and one could cobble together a vegetarian dinner of several appetizers, but even their salads seem to mostly have chicken or shrimp thrown in.

The Pour House Restaurant

There's a sister restaurant, The Sitting Duck, in Long Branch.

Thanks for the info...the menu looks wonderful. We were hoping for a pub like place, nothing fancy/formal. We may visit it in a couple of weeks, we are heading to Bay Head for a weekend, and will need a place for dinner on the way home Does one need reservations on a Sunday eve?

I doubt it. It's more of a local place. I moved down here about three years ago and didn't go there until last year--I had assumed by the name that it was mostly just a bar. Now I've had dinner there a number of times, and I've always enjoyed it. I've had the salads, burgers, appetizers--working my way through the menu.

Haven't had the prime rib, though!
