Hi all,

I'm looking for a luxury apartment for a relocating co-worker (coming from another country). Here's his requirements:

- Rental budget up to $3,000 / mo
- 900+ sq ft
- Walkable to Newport or Grove St. PATH
- Close to parks a plus

He has a wife but no kids. No car.

Thank you!

Liberty Towers, Madox Apts., 70 Greene, Monaco...condos that have rentals 77 Hudson, Crystal Point, Trump. Other apts near Grove...50 Columbus and Grove Point. There are plenty of others, but those are some of the nicer ones that come to mind.

Liberty Towers, 70 Greene, 77 Hudson (from owners only), 25 Hudson (from owners only), and 105 Green (from owners only) are located next to Exchange Place. The park serving the area is Colgate Park, which is the loveliest park in DT in my opinion with 2 basketball courts and a playground facing the river.

50 Columbus, Grove Pointe (2/3 are rentals, 1/3 are by owners), and the Gotham are located next to Grove Street. Closest park is Dog Run Park in Van Vorst Park.

Aquablu, Shore Club (by owners only) are the two Newport ones. Newport Green is the new big park the management company opened up north of the development (east-ish of Target). Monaco, Marbella, Avalon Cove, A Condos (by owner only), Trump (by owner only), Mandalay by Hudson (by owner only), Portofino (by owner only), Crystal Point (by owner only) are all technically walkable to Newport PATH, but not as close as all the other names.

I like this park...I think it is called something different than Cologate Park. This is the one with the chess/checker boards and jungle gym just before the basketball court? I also love the walkway extension that is being completed around Cologate Park to the rest of the waterfront walkway. I can't wait for that to open. I really like DT JC. I know it is expensive, but on a relative basis it's a pretty great alternative to the city. I was in Soho twice this weekened and it only took me 15 minutes to get there. So nice.
