Mayetta, NJ native Martin Truex Jr. wins at the Sonoma, CA road course for his second NASCAR sprint Cup win.

Truex Jr. wins at Sonoma

I know this is not the racing forum but Truex is the only NJ native to win in this series.

Although I'm not a big NASCAR fan (i think a race should last 50 to 100 laps tops), it is quite hard to win a NASCAR race. Right, Danica?

More than you think. Even though Flemington and East Windsor Speedway are long gone, Wall Stadium, New Egypt, and Bridgeport have pretty healthy attendance. Heck, every time I go past New Egypt it seems like they're getting bigger! Between those and the motor sports park down in Millville/Vineland we may well produce another NASCAR driver one of these days.

Yes, tons of NASCAR fans in my area. One local bar even runs a weekly pool.
