Hi,

Who should I hire to run cables through the walls in my 2 units house. Electrician or Contractor? I want this done professionally and to look really nice and neat?

For the cat6, Have you considered a Powerline adapter that can run ethernet via your power lines? I just set this up at home and it works great without the need to run cables.

Stapled to the baseboards?.........telecom contractor

Many electricians do this as a side gig or along with their stuff. Not any harder than what a cable TV or telephone installer has to do.

Punching down the colors on the plug, I've done it so many times it's
white orange
orange white
white green
blue white
white blue
green white
white brown
brown white

You might find companies that do security systems, cameras, etc that also do networking and audio/video wiring and installs...or even that specialize only in networking and/or AV. These are big businesses these days...and they all don't staple the wires along baseboards etc but can be very meticulous installers. I have used them with success in other places. I am not familair with your area so I don't have a name for you. Check online or other ads places or ask local suppliers stores etc.
