I too had every thing I needed, except for that "old" birth cert.

Apparently, there's something coming that's going require you to get new birth certificates if they're over a certain age. When I went to get my drivers license in GA a few months ago, I was told that my birth certificate was OK for now, but that in a few years many government agencies were going to start requiring a different certificate. They gave me a sheet with the phone numbers of every state's Vital Records department, but I haven't gotten around to calling yet to find out what I need to do.

OMG!!!!!! I was told this one time by the DMV too. "Your birth certificate is too old." I said, "Okay. I'll come back when I'm younger." She didn't laugh. They only smile when they're telling you to go back to the end of an 8-hour-long line.

What does a new cert. have that the old one didn't, besides newer paper it is printed on. This is what I have to look forward when I move back
