Looks like Ridgewood is number one on the list.

Best Overall? Ridgewood. Fanciest? Saddle River or Alpine. Best Bang for the Buck? Fair Lawn. Best Shopping? Paramus, of course. Best Buffalo Wings? Wood-Ridge.

LOL, I simply picked my hometown. It's the best for my mother's baking.

The towns south of Paramus never get much love in these surveys.

Midland Park. I no longer live there, but I was fifth generation in the town. Still have relatives on the police force, in the town council, and in the cemetery behind the Methodist Church on Godwin Avenue.

The town has changed drastically over the past couple of decades, but there's still some Dutch DNA living there.

Midland Park has become very diverse now.... Looked into apartment few years ago close to Rt 4 and looked filthy. Lots of third world immigrants and people.

Midland Park is nowhere near Route 4. And there are not lots of third-world immigrants in Midland Park, either. The only apartment complexes in town are on Godwin Avenue near the Wyckoff border.

Midland Park is bordered by Ridgewood, Waldwick, and Wyckoff and not on any highway, which is why it has such a low crime rate.

I'm thinking you mean Elmwood Park.

Sorry I confused it with Elmwood Park... Sorry too many "Parks" that I get mixed and confused
