Is depeyster avenue busy street in tenafly? And parking for bus? (Clinton: neighborhood, bus)

Hi,
I'm not familiar with Tenafly, and a friend of mine was asking me about the town. Specifically, she was asking about Depeyster Avenue, and whether it is a quiet residential street with not too much traffic / safe with kids playing in their front yards, etc, or a is it cut through busy street for that neighborhood? I couldn 't tell by looking at the map.

Also, if you are taking the NJ transit into the city from Tenafly, where do you park your car? I couldn't find a park n ride parking lot (or something like that ) online. Do you park on the street? Is there a lot you can leave your car?

Some people do cut through if they want to avoid the Clinton/engle light but its not a major road; No right on red there. So some traffic but not super busy.
You can park on engle or one of the side streets for free. I'm not sure if they still require a permit to park on piermont road near the main bus stop. I think most would just walk from depeyster and pick up the bus near the Clinton inn.
