I'm looking for a NJ beach for a photo shoot around sunset.
Something that has a mixture of things to take photos around. Piers to be able to walk under being the main thing. Not sure if any are standing after Sandy that are safe enough to be around. Any ideas?
Preferably central. About an hour from Edison area. Bradley Beach,Seaside, Point Pleasant type areas.
My husband and I are doing a trash the dress shoot at sunset so we'd need a quieter beach setting compared to the hustle and bustle of Seaside etc. Unsure if places like Bradley Beach, Ocean Grove or anything else would be good for that.
This isn't what the OP wants but for others, Island Beach Park is a nice spot for pure beach, fences, dunes and plants pics ...beyond the public breaches.
The only fishing pier I know of in the northern half of the shore was at Ocean Grove, and it was destroyed by Sandy, not sure if it's being rebuilt. You might want to check Google Maps with the satellite imagery on. The images are post-Sandy, so scan up and down the beach to see which piers are still standing.
Jimazee, I had thought about IBSP myself, but wasn't sure if there were piers there. That is a great beach!
I don't know of any piers there. Only a few buildings in 7 miles of sand and a 2 lane road down the center. Two large bathing beaches with state run facilities including food stands and showers. Mostly natural beach with dunes and plants. The Barnegat lighthouse is visible at the end across the inlet. Lots of fishermen...

If any female models are involved, please let me know (but seriously)
Perhaps Long Branch would be a good location
