"This is a community of people in Browns Mills, New Jersey where some have lived deep in the woods for as long as 20 years"
There's more than one of these in NJ-there is or was one out near Lakewood for a while. Hunting and four wheeling down in the pines every once in a while you'll come across a shack or a "long term campsite," but I've never found a full flown tent city. That's usually because these tent cities aren't actually "deep in the woods," like the story describes. They're usually on a patch of wooded town owned land, or a piece of vacant wooded land with an absentee owner that's close to a major road. How do you think these folks are cashing their disability checks? They're not exactly living off the land.
Best recheck your post, as it's one of the last three. Treat your keyboatd as if it is always loaded.
Actually there were three. EBwick made some kind of weird reference to Governor Christie immediately after your post, but apparently it was deleted by a mod which led you to believe that I'm incapable of counting. No need to recheck my post-thanks for your interest though!

i would treat my keyboatd like it was always loaded, if i knew what a keyboatd was.
I love the way some of the the posters in the original article put all the blame on Obama. Problems like this didn't just pop up in the last 5 years.I'm no Obama fan but how do you go blaming him when the story says that many of these people have lived here 10 years or longer? Most of our societal problems have been incubating for decades. There's plenty of blame for both parties to share.
Nothing's ever going to change in this country as long as the 2 party smokescreen keeps people bickering among themselves. The problem isn't the left or the right, the problem is that the whole damn system is FUBAR.
