I know no one can predict the future et al, but are there generally more new listings that come on the market come September? August has been pretty dead and I'm worried if it's going to stay that way until next Spring.

You'll see some new listings in the fall for sure, but it gets slow again after Halloween. Housing inventory levels are still low though.

it's hard to tell these days, but a general "rule" in real estate is once school is back, listings typically decrease in quantity. people aren't as likely to want to move during the school year. but with the ways prices have rebounded and more buyers coming to market, maybe people will continue to take advantage of being able to sell their home more easily? it's really hard to say these days.

Yea, a few in September, then drops off a lot from Halloween until after the Superbowl

It should pick up a little after Labor Day. The only really dead time is Thanksgiving through about January 15th. But even then you will see listings appear. You just have to be patient. Keep in mind though that when a home is newly listed, you can forget making a low offer as it will almost never be entertained.
