Does anyone know of any consignment shops or charities that will pick up large furniture? I'm planning to buy a new bedroom set in the near future. The set in my room is very old (probably from the early 80s) but in usable condition. I was thinking about contacting a consignment shop about the pieces to see if they're worth anything, but I don't know of any shops in the area that would pick up such large furniture. If I can't get any consignment shops to bite, I'd be fine donating the set to a charity that will pick up the items. I'm reluctant to go the Craigslist route (too many nuts out there these days) and my pack-rat nature won't let me just throw out the stuff when it's perfectly usable. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Try contacting your local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. I know the Morris Co store in Randolph has trucks that do come around to pick donated items up. You can find more about them here: Welcome to the Morris Habitat ReStore
