We would be having a church function at St. James Catholic Church and then looking for a nice place to have a lunch for about 100-150 people. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I think it would depend on your budget. Try the Basking Ridge Country Club, The Somerset Hills Hotel and Dolce Hotel. The Basking Ridge country club is on a golf course and has a restaurant with outdoor seating called the Bamboo Grille, but I believe that the club itself has a function room. The other two are hotels in Basking Ridge that have function capabilities.

I think that the larger restaurants in town would be tough due to being open for lunch in general, so a hotel or golf club would be your best bet.

There is the Bernards Inn in Bernarsdville, which is the next town over. A hotel that hosts weddings and has a restaurant that is pricey. Has an olde worlde/old money feel about it. Different to the other two I mentioned.

Just google them and you'll find them.

Hope this helps!

Mockingbird is great, but doesn't seem like it can fit 100+? I'd second the Grain House/Olde Mill Inn if its a Sunday (nice Sunday brunch buffet).
