Public Transportation Options to Unilever in Englewood Cliffs (Fort Lee, Bergenfield: apartments, place to live)

Hi, I'm looking for public transit options to get to Unilever at 700 Sylvan Way in Englewood Cliffs. My husband is close to accepting a job there, but he does not have a car and so will need to take the bus (I believe that's the only option - please inform me if there are any others I'm not aware of).
I've checked the NJ Transit website and it seems there is a bus from Dumont to Englewood Cliffs that takes about a half hour. Is Dumont a reasonable place to live for this commute? We will be moving from Somerset County and hope to find a 2 bedroom apartment in the $1,500 range - any suggestions other than Dumont?
We are not familiar with North Jersey at all, so thanks for any suggestions you can provide.
