Hi Guys,

I need some recommendations where I can get a really nice modern kitchen. We are looking to renovate ours and I need a few places to go visit and see the showrooms. I am very new to the area and it would help a lot if anyone could recommend some store that the prices are not off the roof

We live around Hackensack, NJ

Thanks, greatly appreciated.

I would also agree on Ikea.

You can check out Alno. They have a showroom in Englewood. It's supposed to be more than Ikea, but less than the premium brands.

Clifton tile on rt 46 east is good for tiles. We redid our bathrooms and got most of the tiles from there. Great selection and reasonable prices. I heard good things about Pugliese for kitchen cabinets.

Ikea quality leaves a lot to be desired, so I would try and talk to people who have had ikea cabinets for an extended period of time. not saying their cabinets are junk, because some of their stuff is nice, but having bought various ikea furniture over the years, I view it as a gamble.

For a kitchen designer in your area, this website is great: National Kitchen & Bath Association

I used it and made a list of about 30 designers around me and got quotes from all of them, then reduced the list based on quotes and their design suggestions.
