I'm looking at buying a house the the Washington Park Historic District of North Plainfield, (west end ave and willow ave) not sure what I should do I'm a bit nervous of being so close to plainfield with regards to crime. Is this a "good" area or i'm I just better off not in any part of north plainfield? I really love victorian homes.
I'm not really familiar with that section of North Plainfield. I live in North Plainfield on the north side of 22 and it certainly feels safe here, so I wouldn't say there aren't any good areas of North Plainfield.
I live in Washington Park Historic District - and it is safe and we love it. There is nothing wrong with North Plainfield - probably the same reason West Paterson changed it's name to Woodland Park...... didn't want to be associated with Paterson. Plainfield - yes does have bad sections - but it also has gorgeous***** sections that are far nicer than even North Plainfield is.
Im a block over on Myrtle Ave and never had an issue with anything.
