Chatham. Good schools. Not as 'snooty as summit. Smaller than Madison. Very family oriented. train to NYC. easy on and off 24 to 78 or 287.
Long Valley. No train. no easy intersate access. good Schools.
Hacketstown. public trans to city. easy access to 80. VERY down to earth. Family oriented. Good prices on homes cut your budget in half. Schools--ok not great.

i have family in a town near yardley, pa in bucks county and would rather live there.
Considering the demographic of the parents Columbia could do better.

I am going to guess that Ematarese did a search of this site using "Columbia" as the search criterion.
Is that the case?
If so, please be aware that the Columbia HS that was referred to is located in Maplewood, NJ, which is a relatively affluent, usually liberal, enclave in Essex County, and that is VERY different from what you will find in Columbia (Warren County), NJ.
