I love when Sam Champion from Channel 2 rolls up his sleeves to act serious. One of the anchors was goofing on him last night and asked when he was going to roll them down. He replied"When the storm is over". It's like almost 20 below in Waterford, NY and everyone seems to be surviving.

The nice thing about the interwebs is that you don't have to rely on silly talking heads on TV for weather anymore:
WSI Energy supplies meteorological data and weather forecasting to the commodities and energy trading markets-this is serious business for them and the industries that depend on them. Lots of good information to be found on their Twitter page. In fact, I think it's the first (and only) useful thing I've ever found on Twitter
it's snowing pretty good in elizabeth right now. definitely accumulating on the roads but I dont know how much. I'm just patiently waiting for the call from my sons daycare saying to come pick him up early.

In my experience, universities in general, and Rutgers in particular, do a poor job of realizing people have to commute to their campuses. My school (Temple) is particularly awful. My undergrad alma mater (TCNJ) is an exception. They've already cancelled classes.

I'll never forget when I was at Rutgers, we got 17 inches in one night in New Brunswick. Still had to go to class.
