Just wanted to find out how many are bypassing the NJ Turnpike just to save a couple of bucks. Do you think you're really saving any money? I can be such a cheapskate and somehow always find my way back to rt 9 when I see the price of gas peak up. But, I have to wonder how much is saved when traffic becomes stop and go, not to mention the time saved. For the record, I work nights and commute from Woodbridge to Lyndhurst so I'm away from rush hour traffic half of the route.
Don't use the 1/9 from Newark to woodbridge. It takes FOREVER to reach the final destination especially with all those pesky traffic lights near linden. Depending on where you live in Newark, take 22-GSP-1.
It's always noble to avoid the Turnpike whenever prsctical. I leave that road for out of ststetsi mostly to pay the tolls
