It doesn't matter what kind of AWD you have. If you choose to go out you will be stuck in the same traffic jams as everyone else. Two weeks ago we had about 2 inches of snow in my town and it took me almost an hour to drive 4 miles. There were 3 accidents, 2 stuck cars, and 1 guy simply parked in the middle of the road. I could have been driving Bigfoot and would still be stuck in that traffic.

If you were driving Bigfoot, you could just drive over the traffic.

traffic jams probably wont be an issue. there will probably be less people on the roads and the main roads probably wont be that bad. you never know though, an accident can always change things.

I love a good snow as well. The good thing about the bitter cold is that when it gets back to the 30s that will feel warm to us.

I'm getting tired of the "just-enough-to-be-annoying" snowstorms. Not to mention the fact that each snowstorm seems to be followed by a heatwave that turns everything into a slushy muddy mess. I'm hoping for at least one 24"+ storm that shuts everything down for a day or two followed by consistent cold temperatures so that we can enjoy it for a while afterwards. I miss hunting in the snow and seeing my lab hop around like a kangaroo in it when it's up to his shoulders. Regardless, tonight I plan on sitting in front of the wood furnace with a cold one and keeping the firebox hot while the temperatures drop and wind picks up
