Which of the two towns acts more like a suburban hub for NYC commuters.

According to me, Both towns seem to be quite similar with large corporate offices nearby and quick train & Bus access to NYC. In contrast, both towns have illegal immigrant and homeless issues as well. However, New Brunswick has significant upper hand when it comes to healthcare services, while Morristown has a larger number of corporate offices serving as centers of employment within a closer distance.

So Whats your choice guys.

New Brunswick is more of a hub because there's more built-up area all around it, whereas Morristown is kind of the western and southern edge.

Also, more people pass through New Brunswick to get to their destination. NB has Amtrak and the Turnpike. The NJ Transit train doesn't have much beyond Morristown.

You mean Northwestern Edge. Morristown does not constitute the southwestern edge, which is more likely to be Princeton for Suburban NYC.

No doubt that New Brunswick has a much more hip populace than Morristown which is usually middle aged commuters.

However, Most companies hiring from RU have offices in the Morristown area, which means that there is something up there that attracts them.

No, I meant southwestern edge, of its local environment. To the south and west of Morristown is more rural, to the east and north is suburban. Yes, if you go far enough south you hit the towns along the Gladstone line but there's a pretty good gap in between.

I think you're a bit off in your characterization of Morristown. The east side of town is a lot of old white money, but downtown has developments with wealthy professionals, and a lot of houses off the green are rented by out of college types. And on Friday nights there are tons of young people there. I like the Morristown restaurant scene too.
