Actually tdstyles, someone who did die that day (a 91 yr old in Ft Lee) might have been saved had it not been for the traffic. There's no way to know for sure, but the EMS responders did complain immediately that they were delayed in getting to the person's house because of the significant traffic problems. They also reported delays on 3 other emergency calls where fortunately nobody lost their life. That's just the Ft Lee EMS, not sure if there were some other medical issues but when you talk about thousands of people stuck in traffic for 4 hours and thousands more living in surrounding streets, it wouldn't surprise me if 5-10 experienced significant health problems.
Yes I read that. Trying to tie the death of a 91 year old woman to this is the real tragedy...and I find it laughable, not the loss of life the tying it to this.
MILLIONS of people are stuck in traffic everyday and no one is attributing deaths to it!!! listen to yourself!!! for god's sake man! Have some sense!

After all of the facts are in, I wouldn't be surprised if a civil suit or two resulted from this incident.
You too???

Neither. Quite happy about that thank you, but I appreciate your concern.
You are happy that your wife does things daily that shock you, and you are willing to give our esteemed governor and his staff a pass on this issue? You may be a candidate for sainthood, or you may just be in total denial.
Our esteemed governor is apparently "shocked" that one of his top aides and his best buddy from high school (who he appointed to a Port Authority administrative position for which he had no qualifications), conspired to punish the mayor of Fort Lee in order to curry favor with the governor. And, he wants us to believe that he had no knowledge of this situation.
If he is trying to channel the spirit of Captain Renault (Claude Raines' character from the classic movie, Casablanca), he is doing a very good job of it.
Yeah, I don't believe this for a second. Did you see how many of his closest staff are involved in these emails yet he's saying he didn't know? Come on... And now Wildstein is going to court to try to keep from testifying? To go to court to avoid testifying? It makes it look like they have a ton to hide here.

It was bound to happen. The closures created gridlock for over four hours at a time. And Christie's staff were angry when the lanes were open again. Unbelievable.
