Looking to move up north close to NYC - need bus$ / travel time advise or ideas (West New York: apartment complex)

Hello,

I'm looking to move up north for my job in NYC, pass the rock center.
The town I'm looking into are Englewood Cliff, Fort Lee, Palisade Park, Teaneck/Tenafly, Little Falls.
There are a few places in Teaneck which I only have to take Bus 167, but what is the real travel time I can expect to get into Port Authority? and what will be the monthly bus pass cost?
I used to live in West New York, it's great area and super fast commute time in/out the city, but I am now looking for a place with parking. Can't deal with moving my car every week with street parking any more.
Plus need to keep rental budget down. With my dog, apartment searching just got harder.
I do like Montclair but I don't really want to deal with njtransit trains.
Currently commuting from Hamilton NJ , monthly trainsit cost is $425 + $100(subway).

If anyone knows any apartment complex that are under 1500 with little/no pet fee, pls let me know.
Or pls let me know what bus I can take from these area and the monthly cost/ travel time.

Fort Lee, Palisades Park, and Englewood Cliffs are going to be even more expensive than West New York.
You could take the 154 or 156 bus from these locations.

Rents will be higher but you will definitely have plenty of parking. I live in West New York so I know your pain with parking.

You may be able to find a decent 1BR in Cliffside Park for under your budget.

Take a look on craigslist when you have a chance.
