My wife and I badly need a long weekend away. Any recommendations for an awesome B&B type place where we can just relax, eat decent food, and maybe hit a spa?

These 2 are not B&B's, but....

NJ/NY-Area Resort & Northeast Hotel Getaways - Golf, Spa, Dining, Catering - Hamburg, Vernon, NJ

Renault Winery Resort and Golf - South Jersey Winery | Restaurants | Hotel | Weddings | Golf

In Cape May, I stayed here. So nice and great location. Cape May is great in any weather, IMHO.

The Saltwood House Bed And Breakfast Inn Cape May, New Jersey.

I'd choose this: Romantic New Hope Bed & Breakfast Inn | The Inn at Bowman's Hill I've never stayed there, but it looks spectacular. It's also quite expensive.

I second Cape May. There are some lovely Inns and B&Bs as well as a nice choice of restaurants for dinner.

If you haven't been here it's a great novelty, super close, and has all the amenities you are looking for It's pricey but really cool.

Castle Hotel and Spa > Home

I've been to a couple B&B's in the Hyde Park, NY area. All really good, also some great restaurants and things to see , FDR's house, Vanderbilt Mansion, Culinary Institute of America ( which has I think 3 awesome restaurants you can eat at). Spa services will be hard to come by there, but there is probably something available in town.

In New Hope, Aaron Burr's House was really nice. 1740 House in Lumberville PA (right outside of new hope) is beautiful, too (that's where we had our wedding).

I know very little about this area but recently my brother and his girlfriend took a long weekend in Newport, rhode island and he loved it. I forget which town in long island he used as an example but he said it was everything that town was supposed to be. I guess some kind of picturesque shore town that's all fancy. Its probably bone chilling cold out there now, but its a place id consider for a long weekend.
