Riverhorse is brewed in Lambertville and they offer brewery tours. I like a lot of their beers, but I think their distribution is pretty concentrated in the Central Jersey area. Flying Fish is down in Cherry Hill, but I haven't had very many of their beers. There's also brewpubs that don't distribute such as Triumph Brewing in Princeton and New Hope, PA, and Harvest Moon in New Brunswick.
I've had the Riverhorse Summer Amber Ale and liked it alot.
Fyling Fish I had the farmhouse ale and love it. Not that big on their Oktoberfest though.
I have had Triumphs and they are very good, have you tried Egans in Montclair or Long Valley Brew Pub? I havent hit Harvest Moon yet, it's on the agenda.
I've tried Cricket Hill out of Fairfield but didn't care for it.
while on the subject of wines, how about some NJ wines? has anyone been to Westfall in Sussex? Or how about Tomasello in Hunterdon?
honestly? NJ wines are a joke. I went to a Wine festival in Waterloo Village some time ago and we were all like yes, we are one of a dozen or so places with a climate to grow grapes, doesn't mean we should i've heard tennesee's wine is excellent though
