What do you guys think of houses with window AC for some of the rooms? Is it a big downside or a deal breaker for you?

I personally don't mind some rooms using window AC, although a central AC is surely nicer.

IMO, Central AC is a must; IIRC a high-pressure system installed runs $10k-$12k for a medium-sized house, so that's what it's worth to me. Any buyer who doesn't want to have to do any work will be be put off entirely.

if the home isnt big (which it probably isnt if it doesnt have central Air) you should look into the wall mount split systems by mitsubishi. They run much cheaper than central air, and give you full use of your windows.

You are right. In fact the house does have 2 split AC units but left two bedrooms with window AC. I am worried that adding two more split units will bring too many compressors in yard and too many remote controllers to play with.
