we used to just go to the shore for a night or two. motels in lavalette are usually cheap.

but if you want to do a restaurant, it will probably be pricier than 30 per person but call around. they all typically can setup something.

Does you HS senior want you to have a party?

If you are willing to do your own food, Many Volunteer Fire Departments rent out there training/activity/social halls.

Also VFW, American Legion have Halls, that rent out.

If you can find a Hotel that does not have a restaurant/food service as part of it. Many of the Mid-sized one have Conference rooms you can rent.

My niece who was at boarding school (along with 3 other families) book the a conference room at a hotel, and we catered in food. ( The room was free, as part of the 'deal' for booking X rooms there between the 4 families.

Few thing to look up.
