Left/right, liberal/conservative, progressive/traditional, big government/capitalism, democrat/republican, ..., these are false dichotomies promulgated by established secular and sectarian authorities to divert attention from the dichotomies of substance, such as liberty versus slavery, freedom versus oppression, natural rights versus government-granted rights, free markets versus planned economy, self-determination versus obedience and conformity.

From the perspective of those who cherish freedom, it makes no difference whether the present incarnation of tyranny is left or right of center, wherever that may be. Once the votes are tallied, regardless of which party's candidates come out on top, the truth is that the winner is government, and you are the governed.

There are only fat and skinny politicians. Fat politicians like Christie are bad and visually unappealing.

Wait till you see what comes after Christie. People will struggle to remember why they allowed themselves to be whipped into frenzy over a traffic jam.

There is no "Left" politically in America anymore. There is "Right" and "Righter".
^This is what the foreign posters were saying after our last election. They were laughing at the idea that people considered Obama "left-wing" or a "socialist". They said, "You don't have a left-wing party in the USA. You have a right-wing party and a far-right-wing party."

I did think it would have been visually fun to have a Christie v. Obama election just so it would be the fat white guy against the skinny black guy.
