As bad as parts of NJ are, at least it has great diversity. You could napalm everything but metropolitan areas from Philly to Denver and no one would even notice...or care.
Almost all New Jersey cities are borderline unlivable and it's even more evident when comparing New Jersey to other states.
In as much as I want to go back to the Fort Lee, NJ area from which I originally resided, I don't want to breathe in the cancer causing toxic air from Edgewater, NJ.
I live in Northeast NJ & I never lived more then like 15 minutes from NYC. I like that a lot better. I like being near everything and fast paced and bigger cities. It's more diverse and cultured. Mostly, I think suburbs are boring and kinda all look the same.. I really don't like northwest and south NJ, except the shore parts. I don't like country life in any state or super redneck-y people, and I would hate being so far from everything. My aunt lives near Philipsburg, and I especially don't like it there. The kids try to act "ghetto" when that town is suburbs. But, the country part of NJ looks really pretty in Autumn. I also get annoyed at how a lot of people from south NJ think they're part of Philadelphia..? Maybe not in person, but at least online they act that way.
Yes, we do. There was a guy a few months back making a meth lab in Jersey City.
Good place for it... who would notice in and among the rest of the industrial wasteland?
