What characteristics does a student have to be defined as having "behavioral issues"?

At some point wouldn't such a student have a negative impact on the entire class?

I see it as a positive. Kids without adhd need to know that there are people who work differently than they do, and when those kids with adhd become their managers in the workplace, the kids without adhd will be better adjusted to the workplace.

so my wife had parent/teacher conference yesterday. the teacher felt that the class format was a positive for my daughter because they break up into smaller groups and can focus on individual needs/abilities. my daughter is advanced so they can challenge her more in that format. i asked the wife if they mix high performing children with low performing kids in groups and she didnt think that was the case. they must still be mixed when they are in larger groups so maybe there is some benefit to the kids having more difficulty in being mixed with other kids. i dont know.
