This winter has seemed endless -- so much cold, snow, and weeks of grey, cloudy skies. I hate bare trees and brown grass.

I used to love autumn, but it just means that winter will follow.

The dreary weather makes me depressed, and my mother just died to make me even sadder.

I'm tired of death. I want life!

I am so ready for sunshine, blue skies, warm temperatures, and flowers. I love spring and summer. I love light and warmth. I love the Jersey shore in warm weather.

I love daylight savings time!

I am so eager for spring that I am checking the cherry blossom webcam every day, eager to see any new developments:

Desperate, I know. But I need some cheerfulness. The cherry blossoms are so pretty.

Today is the first official day of spring. Hopefully the weather will soon catch up.

I love the spring. Everything is so fresh and new.

Awe NO, you are NOT desperate in any way. Everybody that lives in NJ or East Coast (north of Florida) feels the exact same way. One more month to go and the greenery will come back with a vengeance!
My condolences for your loss and wishing you the best!
PS. I actually live in Italy and although it is beautiful here I miss NJ immensely. Especially this time a year when the trees and plants start to bud and nature puts on a real show for us! Im telling you I would give my right arm now to be able to grab a large cup of Dunkin and drink it sitting on a bench at the Saddle River Park in Ridgewood overlooking the Duck Pond! Actually, make that my left arm, I need my right one to drink my Dunkin!

Sorry for your lost OP I know the feeling, I lost my mom last year. Spring I in full bloom here in this part of south Carolina. My Red Tips and other flowering plants are wide awake or almost there and my neighbor have already mowed his lawn this year and I should be doing the same real soon.

There is a chance for snow next Tues./Wed.

From what I'm reading in the long-range forecasts there is no consistent warm up coming anytime soon. I'm hearing late April or Early May before any real signs of Spring.

I really hate wearing heavy sweaters and heavy coats. I'm ready for some lighter clothing! I'm not even asking for hot weather, just warm enough to not have to wear a coat.

I don't know for sure about how delayed the cherry blossoms are, but temperatures this week are expected to drop to at or below freezing in many areas, so that's not going to help.

It has been beautiful the past 2 weeks (Except today, Hot ). So, surely spring has arrived.

I just hope the 80's stay off till June.

So sorry to hear about your mothers demise though . I know its tough, and hope you attain peace of mind soon.
