For personal use I have Cingular/AT&T. For my business cell I have Verizon because Cingular doesnt get a signal where I work. Other than that, they are about the same. Verizon is more expensive though.
Let me also add when I upgraded my grand daughters phone it had media/internet capability....I was clueless until i received an $800 plus phone bill..... I almost choked on my coffee
At&t customer service was very very helpful in explaining my options, the cost of the packages or the option to totally block this feature from her phone.....and they wiped all the charges away. I've been with them so long I can't even remember my start date so maybe as a long time customer they extended this but I was impressed
See if you can borrow some phones from friends and see how the service is in the areas you intend to travel in. Just like test driving a car. Buy the one that works best for YOU.
I had Cingular for about five years until MetroPCS came out - I love my metro but when I move I'll prob go back to Cingular. I was thinking Verizon cause their phones are so much cuter but I have more friends and family members with Cingular so the mobile-to-mobile minutes are more important then a cute phone.
