I'm in the market for a set and would like to know if you like the ones you own. I'm specifically looking at the brands LG, Samsung, and Electrolux. Do you have experience with any of these brands?

I'm looking for great warranty, easy of use, and low energy consumption.

TIA.

I have an LG washer and dryer I bought almost five years ago (and it has a five-year warranty, so we'll see, lol) and I like them a lot. The dryer is electric because I have no gas line running to the laundry closet. The washer is great--lots of settings. Both are pretty energy-efficient. Water use is low, too, the way the washer works (front-loading).

I bought my current set of LG front loading washer & dryer 5 years ago and and happy. Cleans well, has good number of cycles/options, and uses very little water.

The only issue I would point out is the musty odor from the washer especially when we delay/forget to do the monthly tub-cleaning cycle. Not sure if this is common with all front-loading washers or just LG.

One thing I thought was interesting about the LGs and perhaps other models is that the alternate color (graphite for LG) is $100 more expensive than the white.

Does white turn yellow get dirty with age that it should cost $100 less than the steel graphite W/D?

White appliances have not been "the rage" for a few years. Stainless has pretty much dominated the market for a while.

The latest trend is slate finish (GE) and Sunset Bronze (Whirlpool).

There is nothing wrong with white appliances, they do get dusty/grimy but just wipe them down.

You pay for the lastest appliance finish trend.

White washers clean as well as graphite or s/s machines. I would rather spend the $100 to get a higher model. But that's just me.
