Wow, what a way to tarnish my hard earned degree. I am moving out of America, once and for all because of this nonsense and restarting life. Don't want to carry around the Rutgers cone of shame for the rest of my life.

If this incident had not taken place, you would have remained in The US?
Really?
A situation related to the commencement ceremony will cause you to leave The US?
Why do I have a hard time believing your statement?

Its true, I am pissed off by this behavior, and so are my friends. What else can I do here living in shame. Why not carry the experience I gained at Rutgers to a place far off where they value only skills, not reputation of the university.

So, you want everyone to believe that you came from India in order to reap the benefits of a low-cost/high quality education in NJ, and you would have stayed in The US except for this one particular situation?

I call bogus on your statement.
What I mean is that as the university's reputation heads down hill, my life in the US will become absolutely miserable. It becomes impossible to find jobs coming from a badly reputed university. But in a place where skills are valued and university reputation is unknown, it is possible for me to strike a fortune fairly easily, as long as I am bilingual. I am just modulating my life to ensure continued personal success through legal means, whatever it takes and wherever opportunity strikes.
