Looking for an apartment in NJ with easy commute to downtown NY. Been looking at JC/Harrison/Newark.
Could you please tell me which of these is best in terms of safety and affordability . Also which areas, especially in JC are no go areas.
Thanks.

If your comming from suburbia you will not love those areas you mentioned. MOST of nj close to NYC is just as urban as any NYC borough.
