Hi. Trying to move, can't figure it out.

I've read a bunch of opinions here about the town, and don't know which end is up.

Just saw a condo listed in South Orange on Randolph Place, looks like a block or 2 from the train station.

Other than that proximity to the train, is the area one that I'm going to be able to walk around -- meaning, are there places to eat or shop?

If not South Orange, any advice on other NJ towns with low-priced condos walkable to commuter train to NYC?

its is not a good area. Very close to orange. Its cheap for a reason!

I agree that's not the greatest area. I have driven by there many times along Scotland Road. Also, it's near the Mountain train station, not the main South Orange train station. Most of the trains that stop at Mountain station require that you transfer in Newark to get into NYC. Just something to consider if you need to commute into NYC.
